Colin Forsyth
Colin Forsyth's interests range from butterfly gardening to studying disease prevention in Bolivia to writing fiction for young adults. He has an M.A. in Latin American Studies and a B.A. in History from the University of New Mexico. He currently studies in a dual degree program at the University of South Florida, which will lead to a PhD in Applied Anthropology and a Master's in Public Health. Since 2002 he has earned his living as a technical writer, but he was previously a teacher of English as a Second Language.
He has traveled in Guatemala, where he researched his master's thesis, and he lived in Bolivia from 1996-1999, where he taught history and English at local universities. He is currently working on his first novel for young adults, which is based on pre-Columbian Andean societies. After completing his PhD, he hopes to continue writing fiction while working on health and conservation issues in Bolivia.
